About

A note taker published from Geneva

Sonory is a recording, transcription and note-writing app, released on the App Store on 24 August 2026. It is published by a sole proprietorship entered in the Geneva commercial register.

Why this app exists

A professional conversation produces two things: what is said in it, and what must be retained from it. The first is lost for want of a record, the second for want of time. Whoever leads the discussion cannot record it, and whoever records it does not take part.

Existing tools transcribe video calls well. They leave aside what gets decided in an office, a board room or a car. Sonory starts there: a phone on the table, one gesture, and a structured note at the end.

The initial market is Switzerland and France, with an interface available in six languages. That also explains the insistence on confidentiality and on consent: both legal systems require it, and the conversations concerned are precisely the ones nobody wants circulating.

Our positions

Storage stays in Switzerland, processing does not

Recordings, transcripts and notes are kept in the Zurich region. Transcription and drafting run on European entry points, outside Switzerland, because no speech recognition service with speaker separation is offered from Switzerland. We write it rather than let the opposite be assumed.

Nothing is sold, nothing trains a model

Your recordings are neither sold nor shared for commercial purposes, and are not used to train artificial intelligence models. The app contains no advertising tracker.

Audio is written to the device first

The capture is recorded locally for its full duration. Uploading to our servers is a separate step, with a queue and resumption: a network drop loses no recording.

Consent is recalled, not sidestepped

Recording a private conversation requires the agreement of those present. The app recalls this on first use and offers an audible start signal at the beginning of every recording, on by default.
